Allenby makes FedEx Cup Play-offs

Nine Australians have qualified for the FedEx Cup play-offs on the PGA Tour after the final tournament of the regular season finished on Monday morning.
Victorian Marc Leishman was the highest ranked Australian on the FedEx Cup rankings after the regular season following his win at the Travelers Championship in June in Connecticut.
Leishman is joined by Adam Scott, John Senden, Aaron Baddeley, Geoff Ogilvy, Greg Chalmers, Robert Allenby, Jason Day and Rod Pampling to tee off in the first event, The Barclays, which begins on Thursday at the renowned Bethpage Black Course in New York.
The PGA TOUR Playoffs in 2012 consist of The Barclays, Deutsche Bank Championship, BMW Championship and the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola.
Points Distribution: FedExCup Season
• Official PGA TOUR events each award 500 FedExCup points to first place.
• The Masters Tournament, THE PLAYERS Championship, U.S. Open Championship, British Open and the PGA Championship award 600 FedExCup points to first place.
• The first three World Golf Championships events award 550 FedExCup points to first place.
• Additional events played during the FedExCup Season (those played the same week as a major or World Golf Championships) award 250 FedExCup points to first place.
